1. Khaligraph Jones
Commonly known as Papa Jones or the OG, he has been one of the most influential rappers in the last 5yrs. In 2020 he has gone past his limits to produce great hip hop music and he arguably the best rapper in Kenya if not Africa. Some of his great music this year include Yes Bana ft. Bien Sauti Sol , Instagram Girls, Hao ft. Masauti, Tuma Kitu and Lwanda Magere Legacy 1. His style of rap has influenced many to do the same and many others to trash his work. There is still more to come from him this year and beyond as he has made himself stand out among all rappers
2. Breeder LW
Also known as Bazenga Daddii. He is a risen hip hop star of 2020. Most Kenyan knew about Breeder late 2019 when he was featured in Khali Cartel 3 by Khaligraph Jones. Since then he hasn't stopped producing great music. Some of his music this year include Yes Bana [ freestyle challenge ], Genjeness, Kitu Nono Remix, Ni Kubaya ft Khaligraph Jones, Bazenga Daddii and a couple of collabos. His style of rap is inspired by Khaligraph Jones and has proved himself as a big prospect in the industry.
3. Octopizzo
Pizzo de King has has been a popular artiste in Kenya over the last decade and has a large fanbase. He is known for his sheng flow and creative punch lines. This year he has recorded Che Che ft Barak Jacuzzi, Another Day and Nikupate. He also announced that his album is dropping in October
4. Nyashinski
He has been a veteran in the game since the early 2000s and he is still proving his worth in 2020. He is rated as one of the best in Kenya and is a favorite to many. He is a very talented artiste since he can rap and sing as seen in his previous hits. This year he released his first solo album called Lucky You which had hits like Wach Wach, Fadhela and Too Much. He has also released a single called Glory.
5. Kahu$h
A new comer in the game but he is proving that he is a force to reckon with. He is known for his hit song Mi Siwezi. This year, he has released his debut album called Niko which has hits like Symptoms and Noma. He also featured Chris Kaiga in the hit song Mastingo. He is taking the industry by storm and still very young .
